Horizon Networks wishes to advise customers that Cyclone Cook's devastation have left multiple downed power lines, trees and slips throughout the community, causing multiple outages across the region. Multiple downed power lines have resulted in loss of electricity to several parts of the community and Horizon Networks is working to restore power progressively.
This cyclone sends a timely reminder to consumers to ensure trees do not encroach near power lines and to be prepared for emergencies.
Horizon Networks crews are currently in the field assessing the remaining damage to assets and working on restoring power to those areas still affected. Unfortunately the compounded effects of Cyclone Debbie and Cyclone Cook, these repairs are taking longer than anticipated.
Horizon Networks would like to take this opportunity to thank consumers for their patience, support and understanding during this difficult holiday period and would like to give reassurance that we will continue to restore outages in a safe and timely manner in line with our guiding principle of keeping our community switched on.
Horizon Networks wishes to express its appreciation and thanks to the crews for long hours and dedication to restoring supply to our community.
